Flower Mart'sVendors

As in years past, this year the Mount Vernon Place Conservancy’s Flower Mart highlights local vendors, who make their own products, and who offer items on “green” themes, or Mount Vernon Place. Also involved with the festival are nonprofits who promote the greening of the city. Check them all out when you visit.

It wouldn’t be Flower Mart without a Lemon Stick! This sweet and tangy treat has been a part of Flower Mart for so long that it’s unclear when they first began. The Conservancy will be selling Lemon Sticks from a booth on the Monument Plaza.

AboutFlower Mart

Flower Mart was founded in 1911 by the Women’s Civic League, an organization formed to advocate for better living conditions in the City of Baltimore. A focal point of the original market was to encourage flower, plant, and vegetable gardening in the yards of homes and vacant lots—thereby making them green.
