Flower MartSchedule

In addition to a great line up of local musicians, the Conservancy has assembled a dozen workshops on “green” themes. We hope when you visit you'll stop in the Learning Pavilion and learn about flower arranging, hat decorating with flowers, or engage in a tasting of spirits made from flowers and botanicals, among other hands-on topics. All workshops are free and are first come, first served. Check out the full list of programs and performances.

Flower Mart'sVendors

As in years past, this year the Mount Vernon Place Conservancy’s Flower Mart highlights local vendors, who make their own products, and who offer items on “green” themes, or Mount Vernon Place. Also involved with the festival are nonprofits who promote the greening of the city. Check them all out when you visit.

It wouldn’t be Flower Mart without a Lemon Stick! This sweet and tangy treat has been a part of Flower Mart for so long that it’s unclear when they first began. The Conservancy will be selling Lemon Sticks from a booth on the Monument Plaza.

AboutFlower Mart

Flower Mart was founded in 1911 by the Women’s Civic League, an organization formed to advocate for better living conditions in the City of Baltimore. A focal point of the original market was to encourage flower, plant, and vegetable gardening in the yards of homes and vacant lots—thereby making them green.
